Service Unavailable

Postby igbar » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:23 pm

After a long weekend of clicking 'Full Scan' I shut down my system last night. I started it up this AM only to find that all i get from my browser is 'service unavailable'.

I went to the Subsonic Control Panel and clicked the 'start' button and status says 'running Auto-start' ( which is only partially true. The icon did start up on boot but the service did not).

Thoughts on how to get this running again. Not sure what to check. pgAdmin is working okay.

Thanks

This is a bit of a surprise.. I'd suspect recent changes of web.xml. If you're on windows, there's a log file in (Program Files)/Subsonic/Logs. If you're on any other platform, check the log that's written from subsonic.sh.

Don't know what I was thinking .. I forgot that I had made the change you noted yesterday but had not stopped/started server as I was trying to get all bits imported first. So when restarted this AM was not happy with the change.

Yep .. i fat fingered the comment out (looked at it 20 times) and Subsonic wasn't happy. I corrected my error and retried but am getting '"PWC6345: There is an error in invoking javac. A full JDK (not just JRE) is required"

I did load the jdk saturday night after you noted it was needed.

I guess my best bet is just go back to Subsonic .. i will want to make a couple minor changes and with precompiled forms it is just not as flexible.

Thanks for the help
