A few problems and questions

I've recently installed musiccabinet, mostly for the ability to browse by my genre tags using Dsub and iSub. However, I've run into a few issues which I'm hoping someone can help me with.

1. All of my starred albums and songs have disappeared. I did tick sync with last.fm, but I assumed that this would change last.fm, not remove all my starred stuff. Is this right?

edit: I also can't star any songs or albums from inside DSub. I get an error "failed to update ... Incorrect result size.

2. Recently played and most played don't populate, even though I have listened to plenty of albums and songs since I installed mc.

3. I can no longer choose which main source folder I want to browse. I have three sources: music, audiobooks and radio shows. Now I have to choose between individual genres or all folders, but I don't really want to see Steven King alongside Sam Cooke alongside The Saturday Play! Isn't there a way for me to just choose music when I want to listen music, and audiobooks when I want to listen a book, like I used to?

4. In subsonic settings I see an incredibly long list of tracks that apparently don't have artist or track tags and will therefore be ignored by musiccabinet. They do, so I don't know how to get mc to recognise them.

5. ISub seems to have broken altogether.

About (5) iSub is A-OK, sez the freaky Ethiopian jazz filling my ears as I type this.

ETA:

Though I see that some folks are having issues with the most recent update to iSub, per this thread:

About (3) - you can browse by Artist or filter by Genre, but if you want to view your Media Folders, you'll need to select "File-Based Browsing" all the way at the bottom of the left panel in the Web UI, or by selecting "Folders" on iSub. I'm not familiar with DSub, so I can't help you there.

Thanks for the replies.

I did see that but it looks like a different issue. I switched sync off just to check and it made no difference. When I try to star anything I get an error.

I checked the first few albums in the list and they all had album artist tags.

Thanks, I uninstalled iSub then reinstalled. Seems to be working now.

I do have the option of viewing media folders in Dsub but I lose album art by doing so.

edit: just to clarify this behaviour, in both Dsub and iSub I have a drop down list as follows:

All folders
All genres
Genre 1
Genre 2 ...

Why isn't this list:

All folders
Folder 1
Folder 2
All genres
Genre 1
Genre 2 ...

In all honesty I can't see me keeping music cabinet. Starred songs and albums are really important for me, as is recently played. The media folders things is just a small annoyance but still, I really liked the way this was handled before music cabinet. It seems like a backward step.
