Hi Hakko,

I'm running MC on OS X 10.8.2

I had some hard drive trouble today and had to restore my boot drive image from a backup onto a different physical drive.

After restoring the backup, on starting the Subsonic/MusicCabinet process in the usual way, the web interface does not show the library, but says:

The message "Could not get JDBC Connection... Connections could not be acquired from the underlying database!" is pretty clear, so I see what the issue is, but I have no idea how this came about from the move to a new physical disk, or how to remedy it. The restored image was from just a couple of days ago, and has been transparent to all my apps and workflows other than this... but this is the most important of all!

I would be very grateful if you have some suggestions that I could try to "find" the DB again.

To help anyone else this happens to: apparently after you restore from backup, the transaction log can somehow be corrupt, and need to be reset.

The following terminal command on OS X fixed it for me:

sudo su postgres -c '/Library/PostgreSQL/9.2/bin/pg_resetxlog -f /Library/PostgreSQL/9.2/data'
