How to Increase memory OSX 10.7.3

I haven't had much luck getting any answers on this forum. The terminal based nature of the install was a challenge but I have managed to get everything up and running.
Maybe someone can help me out with any easy question. I have searched the forums and could not figure out where to increase the memory in the subsonic.sh file. I an running OSX 10.7.3.
Do you change it here -
SUBSONIC_HOME=/Applications/Subsonic
SUBSONIC_HOST=0.0.0.0
SUBSONIC_PORT=4040
SUBSONIC_HTTPS_PORT=0
SUBSONIC_CONTEXT_PATH=/
SUBSONIC_MAX_MEMORY=512m
SUBSONIC_PIDFILE=
SUBSONIC_DEFAULT_MUSIC_FOLDER=/var/music
SUBSONIC_DEFAULT_PODCAST_FOLDER=/var/music/Podcast
SUBSONIC_DEFAULT_PLAYLIST_FOLDER=/var/playlists
Thanks in advance.
EDIT - I figured out the above was not the correct place to change the memory. It is further down in the Java settings of the .sh file.
