Java Error on new install

Hello All,

I've been running some form of Subsonic since 2010, and I have been using MusicCabinet since 2012, more or less without issue. Last weekend, I was no longer able to connect to the server, as it had a java error.

So, I decided to take this time to rebuild my server, with a new OS... joy! All was going well enough with the new server (WHS 2011) and I decided to recover my music server once again. I installed Java 7, Postgre 9.2.1-1, installed Subsonic 4.7, and then installed the executable subsonic-musiccabinet-0.7-setup, but once I attempted to login, I experienced a Java error once again, but this time I was able to login into the server. I attempted, go to Settings and enter the Musiccabinet information for logging into Postgre and got the error below...

Any ideas? Should I update to Postgre 9.2.6 or 9.3.2?

Also, before I torn down my old server, I copied the contents of the c:\cubsonic directory, what files do I need to copy over to get my users and settings back? I though it was just c:\subsonic\db and c:\subsonic\subsonic.properties

Any help will be much appreciated.

It's been a while since I've been through the install process, but this thread suggest you need to choose "Configure MusicCabinet" before going into settings. Did you try that?

EDIT: Also, I have PostgreSQL 9.3.2 installed in my linux server and haven't had any issues.

It's been a while for me to on the install. You were right, once I clicked the url for Configuring MusicCabinet from the home page, entered my password, all was good.

Do you recall how restore your users from old install? I've searched the forum, but haven't found a good thread for that one yet.

I don't, the last time I reinstalled I didn't worry about users or settings since I'm the only one on my server and didn't care. I did find this thread, it may be of help.

Yes, it is the /subsonic/db directory and the subsonic.properties file.
