Crashed hard drive

I have recently one of my music hard drive crash completly. The problem being is that the music contained in it is still visible in music cabinet, even after I removed it in the media folders. I have rescanned my library numerous times now and still all the music is still there.

What must I do to force music cabinet to erase the hard drive from its database ?

Looking through the forum, I have seen numerous reference to a clean up database function or button, but I see it nowhere, and don't know how to use it .

Thanks for any help on the topic...

If you have no idea how to fix the database, could someone tells me how to erase it completly so I can restart with a fresh database without losing the users I already have in place ?

Take a look at this post, it might help

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11423&p=52907&hilit=sql#p52907

If you know the path of the original folder, then it can be fixed. If you don't, you need to run a sql script in pgAdmin. I don't remember exactly how to do that, but if you do some searching for pgAdmin, and SQL it is there. I have dealt with this issue both ways. Just been a long time. If I find more concrete info, I will post.

Also....as long as you don't mess with your subsonic install you shouldn't lose your users. You just need to fix the database of music, which is handled by PostgreSQL/pgAdmin.
