Didn't see CPU load go over 20% while doing the first stream, ~6% other processes and ffmpeg spiking up to ~14%. Once it loses the connection and reopens the stream it goes up to 100%, but that's just subsonic transcoding and discarding as fast as it can to catch up to the range the stream was re-opened for.

My server has:
  • AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
  • 8 GiB ram (~2 GiB used by normal processes)
  • Software RAID5 array that all the music is stored on
  • 64bit Gentoo running kernel 3.2.1-gentoo-r2
  • Subsonic 4.6
  • ffmpeg 0.10.2

It is strange since you have enough CPU power there. I cannot explain why the pre transcoded files work also.
Sorry I can't help anymore

Hi Paul great job on Wiji works a treat ... I have 1 problem and its probably something ive missed. I cant get the artwork to download and load into the App. I do have the setting enabled in the settings menu is there a way in which the folders are ment to be set up ? am i missing another setting somewhere ? Ive looked through the forum and i cant find anyone else saying they have this problem so i kinda think iam probably at fault. All of my albums are displaying the little green bloke with the OMG message :/

Hi,
What OS are you running?

To double check this setting click Clear Cache also. and then turn Cache Cover Art to OFF.

Then refresh SubWiji albums and it may bring the Covers through

Just a note to anyone watching the forums.

Today I fixed a crash issue that would render SubWiji useless if you had set the Show/Hide setting to 0 in SubWiji settings.

After the update 1.2.1.192 you should be able to resume normal operations.

Sorry for this taking a while, I did not realise it had caused this issue until I got to trying it myself

Cheers

This is amazing. Is there a way to randomize the random screen? In other words, like the web interface automatically presents a new page. On here, you have to click the button. I've been using this for about 10 minutes and I love it.

The random albums page re-randomises when you close and re-open the library window or when you press the refresh button. It can also be randomised by clicking the next page button (since random pages are not really there it just gets another random page)

Thank
Paul

I love the way this app looks and functions, this is going to be my daily driver. Except one thing, last.fm doesn't appear to be scobbling my tracks from SubWiji. Did I miss something I was supposed to do?

You have to have last.fm linked in subsonic user settings AND turned on in SubWiji.
Have a check of those and if it's still not working let me know your subsonic version and I'll investigate.

Yes, it's set up in my Subsonic settings and turned on in SubWiji. Just updated to 4.7 beta 2 from 4.6 and still not registering.

Hi,
I am using 4.7Beta2 also and mine is scrobbling fine.
What I did notice however is that Last.FM have been having password problems (read here http://www.last.fm/passwordsecurity).
I had to reset mine, login to last.fm and check that you can still get in there.

Please also remove last.fm username and password then save subsonic settings and put them back in just to double check :)

Thanks for the great looking player. Unfortunately, I can not get it to connect to my subsonic server. The server is in the internet, available only via https and still runs on 4.5. And, I have to use a proxy to connect to any host outside the company.

I have setup the proxy in the system browser (IE + Chrome). Both can connect just fine. Looks like SubWiji is ignoring the prox settings, as it times out after a long period.

Any way to get it working behind a proxy?

When connecting using HTTPS you must use this format... HTTPS://myserver.subsonic.org

Try that
