Subsonic is runnig on a root server with proper DNS. Apart from that, when I try to register the server under .subsonic.org, I get an error :

"Status: faboo.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (HttpHostConnectException) "

I think that might be because it only runs over https.

Thanks for your time

I don't understand? Is the issue with Subsonic or SubWiji? If you can connect using Firefox to the web UI then SubWiji should work.
If you are using HTTPS however you need to take the url (and sub folder if applicable) and use that prefixed in the SubWiji settings with HTTPS.

If you set me a temporary login/url and PM me I can test it here?

Sorry if I was not clear.

I have no problem running the web UI of subsonic (and accessing it) From work I mostly use Subsonic via browser. I also use the Subsonic app on android without problem.

But I wanted to try the nice looking SubWiji client, and this can not connect (due to being behind a proxy I think).

The error above was due to the sugestion of registering a name with subsonic.org. This fails too. Only error is the one above, nothing in the logs. But this has nothing todo with your client and I never needed it before.

Will send you login information in a minute

Hi Bert,
I have been testing and it is strange, it doesnt work for me on SubWiji either (i cn get the WebUI and Android to connect - from the same network).
It seems that when SubWiji calls for the HttpWebRequest it times out, I do not know how the WebUI and Android app call the REST API but is your server blocking SubWiji's HttpWebRequest's?
I don't think its a proxy issue (unless Subsonic server is BEHIND the proxy too?).
Usually with other servers if the WebUI and Android can connect then so can SubWiji

Thanks for your time and effort.

I will check with my friend who is doing the administration if he did something strange. There should be reverse proxy (apache with mod_proxy) in front of the tomcat.

Can it be an version issue? Because we still run 4.5 of Subversion.

Enjoy

Possibly it could be something to do with 4.5, but I don't know unless you update it and try unfortunately.
I coded SubWiji with 4.6 so it could be 4.5 is not liked.

I am using 4.7Beta2 also and mine is scrobbling fine.
What I did notice however is that Last.FM have been having password problems (read here http://www.last.fm/passwordsecurity).
I had to reset mine, login to last.fm and check that you can still get in there.

Please also remove last.fm username and password then save subsonic settings and put them back in just to double check :)

Paul

I had to do the same thing as well back when they first sent that notice. The problem still persists, even after taking out my username and password, saving, logging out, and then entering it all in again.

All hope is lost!

It is strange, but all hope is not lost just yet.
If you pm me a temporary login I can debug it and see what's happening, if you do set up a login add your scrobbler settings to it.

Updated to Subsonic 4.6. Problem persists. I will attach a sniffer and see where the problem is. But it will haveto wait, other more pressing issues at hand.

Thanks again for your effort.

PS: did I realy seay Subversion instead of Subsonic? Oh dear, I spend to much time developing than ;)

Hi I can't seem to launch your application from my windows 7 computer
I checked I have .NET framwork v4.0 (x86 and x64)
and having windows installer 5.0......(some numbers)

when I click on the install button, I get the following error:
Image
(this is when I'm downloading it)

and when I click the link on your page I get just the code that behind it.
any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,
Which browser are you clicking the link in? Please use Internet explorer.
Also it mentions permissions, do you have permission to install applications?

When you click the link do you open or save as? Also is the file an exe?
Sorry for lots of questions but there are a lot of factors that can affect clickonce applications.
I like to respond asap so that people know I'm here and available to help :)
If you Google the error and add click once to the search it may help you out also.
If it still won't work then I will try help tomorrow morning too.

And np, I know there are a lot of possible things that can make something not work :P

I already googled it, it said that it was caused by a 403 error (wich is unlikly)
i did both, but the problem happens afther I launch the program, so basicly when I'm downloading the file (it show the error around 103KB)

EDIT:
and when I click the launch link I see the XML code
EDIT2:
Already reinstalled my .Net framwork
EDIT3:
fixed it:
I downloaded the install link on my windows server 2008, transferd it to my main computer and when I launched it there, it worked :)
EDIT4:
Loving edit xD

The Now playing isn't working though :)
And a lot of the time, my songs arn't playing (4.7.beta2 (build 3016) (Moded by MadEvil))
