When you say Now Playing isn't working do you mean that nothing appears? or is the loader spinning forever? A screenshot will help here.

You say that songs are not playing, have you setup the transcoder (in my signature)? If no then add it :P If yes then please double and triple check it :)

Ha ok sometimes the Now Playing is a bit behind.

When you look at the stuff not playing later (it may be the lower Bitrate stuff which is usually the issue), add the transcoder into settings it fixes 99% of wierd not playing or slow/fast playing songs when in SubWiji...

Transcoder From mp3 To mp3 Step1 "ffmpeg -f mp3 -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -"

I added the transcoder from the moment I start using it
and it can't be the speed because It's running in the same network, I'm connecting with local Ip (can that be the problem? would be strange, but you never know :P)

Ah ok,
What format are your files?
Does the subsonic log say anything about the files when SubWiji is trying to run them?
Can you screenshot your transcoder setup so I can see the whole line?

I doubt that being local would affect it, if anything it should work faster, it may be that however as I do not code locally so I always run over the net to the server.

If you can get me a login (PM it to me) I can have a look in 45 minutes time.

Cheers

Hi everyone,
Just to let anyone who's watching the thread know, if you had problems with Proxies then please give the latest SubWiji a try.
Yesterday I added a Manual Proxy tab in the Settings dialog.
The version the change is in is 1.2.1.208.

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's a bug or if I have expectations that aren't correct about the folders dropdown while viewing the Music Library, but I've never seen it work correctly. No matter what option I select, it always shows me all artists from all folders.

My folder structure looks like this:

Code: Select all
Music\
    Collection\
        <Artist>\
            <Album.\
                <files>
    New\
        Backlog\
            <Album>\
                <files>
        Fresh\
            <Album>\
                <files>
        Singles\
            <files>
    Collected Singles\
        <files>

The dropdown has the following:
- Collection
- Backlog
- Fresh
- Collected Singles
- New Singles

This doesn't make sense to me, because "New Singles" isn't even the name of one of my folders - I guess it's appending the name of the parent folder? The rest make sense, but choosing that folder doesn't actually filter the available tracks to only those contained within the folder.

SubWiji expects the structure to be...
Subsonic folder > artists > albums > track files.
This works for your collection folder but doesnt work for your other subsonic folders hence SubWiji cannot get any other artist folders and leaves all of your collections folders.
Unless your using 4.7beta3 in which case the folder drop down is not used...as the artist list is from the id3 tag data.

I am using 4.7beta3. Is there any way to organize folders to be able to filter, then? Something mirroring the web interface would be nice - I see the same folders, but can actually filter with them.

Additionally, it seems like SubWiji can't play tracks unless they've got that folder structure. I can find an artist in the Artist Cloud with some singles that are in one of the flat folders, but when I double-click them, nothing is listed, just this:

It is in the list to update SubWiji to have a folder browser.
For now unfortunately you cannot play tracks unless they are in the structure, sorry.
