Madsonic - Mashup Mod (old Support Thread)

Hello,

I did some testing with this version 20120807_subsonic-MashupMod-4.7.beta3_B3090.rpm. It was clean install in ny fedora server and I faced up some problems what I never had in original 4.7 beta3 and previous 4.6 final and Mashup.
I don´t use transcoding when playing mp4 files. In 3090 version some mp4 files played ok and some files didn´t at all. There was no error messages in log. I uninstalled 3090 version and installed back original 4.7beta3 and those problem files played just fine.
I did testing with IE9 and FF14.0.1

When I first time logged in 3090 version, there was "Social" icon in row where the all other icons are. When I go Settings-->Personal-->add mark "Show chat messages" and save the "Social" icon disappear in the row. Is this bug or is it supposed to work like that?

Everything else seems to work OK.

Hi, i bundled the installer with an other ffmpeg version, maybe this is the problem.
try to replace the included ffmpeg with the original or try the new build 3094, now its included the latest build of ffmpeg.

This works as designed, but you can disable this function in the top.jsp file. Delete Line 88 and Line 93 (remove the If statement).

This works as designed, but you can disable this function in the top.jsp file. Delete Line 88 and Line 93 (remove the If statement).

I unistalled 4.7beta3 and installed first your B3094.rpm package, no luck(no login screen). Then I removed that installation and installed B3090.rpm version, login is succesfull. I replaced content in transcode folder with the files from original, working transcode files.
Even then same mp4 files don´t work in B3090 version but they work with original.

I did that modification top.jsp file, and now social icon stays in the row.

Some strange problem is also with B3090 version. I can´t scroll left side list because there is no scrollbar visible. Also shortcuts with letter don´t work.
I have Fedora 16 as OS. I have tried fresh installations with Java version 1.6 and 1.7, no difference.

Did you do a clean install? Delete your old subsonic directory and then re-install.

Is there a way to put the default scroll bar back in? The current one does not work at all with IE7 and I am unable to upgrade due to restrictions.

Congratulations on the 3094 build. I have it up and running very nicely with just a few minor issues.

I use Chrome, but being and old farsighted user, I usually like the zoom set to 110% or 125% so it's easier to read. On any setting greater than 100%, the left panel scrollbar disappears.

The ability to adjust the lower window is great! Maybe adding same for the left and right panels would fix the issue with the disappearing scrollbar and make the whole interface user adjustable.

When you merged your updates with the latest Subsonic 4.7b3 build the setting in General Settings to not sort folders by year was removed. In your next build can you fix that so we can sort albums by name by default instead of by year.

OK, here's an interesting one...
I did a fresh install of mod 4.7 build 3094 on a seperate PC from my "Standard" subsonic server to test the mods before going permanent, and find some of my non-admin users are having trouble playing certain songs. At first, I was reading the songs from a network drive, and thought that was the issue, it wasn't. I copied & converted several hundred songs onto my local drive, all MP3's, and when they try to play some songs, the player shows that it's playing it, but it stays at 0:00.
The status screen will show a blip of downloaded data, but then nothing. This only affects some, not all songs.
Here's the funny bit... If you click on the progress bar of the web player, say at 0:03 seconds, the song will start to play. If you rewind it back to the beginning (Drag the progress bar back) it won't re-start. Any ideas???
I've tried to convert non-working songs to the same bit rate as other working songs, and doesn't seem to change anything.
As an example, I have a 320 Kbps CBR song that starts and plays fine, and a different 320 Kbps CBR song that won't start at all, but can be played if you click on the progress bar of the web player, manually. The same thing happens with VBR songs.
I've checked the various files file properties (Read-only, file security, etc), and didn't see anything different.
This seems to only effect the Non-Admin users on my Modded subsonic server. My standard subsonic server (4.7b3) works with no problems.

at the moment no plan to support old Browsers
can you use a portable browser (Firefox, Chrome)?

In the build 3098 i fixed the scrollbar zoom problem and add new feature to resizing the left Frame too.
