[Feature Request] Picture gallery

Hi MadEvil !

Now that we can edit access rights on a group basis, it would be really nice to be able to share picture albums, and have picture galleries for a better display.
I know it is not the first purpose of subsonic, but this new feature could turn our favorite app into a complete media sharing software !

What do you think ?

You could always put each picture in a separate sub-folder and rename each one to "folder.jpg" or "cover.jpg"...

This is not a feature!

a subfolder is not necessary, all coverart you can download with albumart-downloader, change view in windows to big symbols, so you can enjoy each album with coverart - it must be renamed in folder.jpg
you can auto embedd folder.jpg in each mp3 albumfile with mp3tag or similar, also batch.
avoid weights more than 500kb...pictureresizer over contextmenu does the job.
also on the last build of madevils mod you can add a artist picture as a folder.jpg for complete discography or similar.

Ananda, Jonny was looking at adding a picture viewer into Subsonic/Madsonic - similar to how the Windows Media Center can pull up your pictures and you can view them on your screen or on a TV.

My answer was more "tongue in cheek" (intended as a joke). Although it would technically work, creating tons of folders with one picture in each folder, and renamed to "folder.jpg" would not be very practical.

With that being said, I have located a "test.jsp" and "test_.jsp" file in the latest 3280 build of Madsonic, which appear to be MadEvil working on a much better solution.
