Hey guys I've been using subsonic for a few weeks now and I decided to try out the MadSonic mod. So I removed subsonic completely and installed B288 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. First issue I'm having is the transcoding, with the default transcoding files that madsonic come with I cannot get any video to play with Transcoding. I get a Transcoding Failed message in the log after it says starting Transcoder. So first I tried the Mash up Mod transcoder packs... and I can get it to not give me a Transcoding failed message by replacing the default ffmpeg with the one from 10-11-12 but then the ffmpeg transcoding service for the movie seems to not stop in htop and continue running even when I'm not watching the movie anymore. The only completely working transcoding I have gotten to work is the default transcoding from subsonic 4.7 and that works perfect but its an old build I believe. I wanted to get the newest ffmpeg to ensure that transcoding was as efficient as it could be. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or if anyone else is having this problem? I also tried to apt-get install ffmpeg and lame. Then link the ffmpeg and lame from the /bin/usr/ffmpeg or lame to /var/subsonic/transcode but that wouldn't work either, it actually made it so I the videos wouldn't even play in original format.
Also any clue what this is? It has been happening lately then the video stops playing...
