[BUG] Icons Settings doesn't work in latest build

Not sure if this is the right forum, or if I should be using the madsonic.org forum, so I'll post in both places.
I upgraded from beta 2 to the latest beta 3 build, and the icon settings seem to have no effect on the actual icons displayed. I found this out when I tried to go to the "about" section (which I had just added to the icon bar before upgrading) and it was missing. I went to the icon settings screen and it was checked off. I tried to uncheck it and recheck it (saving in between) with no difference.
Then I tried to add or remove any other icon, also with no change. The top frame refreshes after the save, but there is no change.
Thanks,
Glenn

hi, i forgot to explain the recent changes in more detail.
Since last version the top-icons for the Admin-Role are always visible.
so just create a new user without the Admin-Role and it should work.
Best regards

So does that mean that no one with the admin role can see the about tab? I have only the "default" icons at the top when logged in via my admin account, which is missing the "about" tab.

The "Social" icon is also missing for my admin user.
Thanks,

Look here
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9187&start=315#p46490it's by design, if you set chat or show what other playing, the social icon disappear.
but it can be turned off (top.jsp).
best regards

Sorry What about the about What about the about icon? Is that 1 hidden from administrators? That seems a little counter intuitive.
Thanks for the quick responses!

D'oh! God forbid I do a little "view source" homework before I ask...
Thanks Gary!

Hi
The Settings icon also does'nt appear on my admin account, i can still access it by writing the adress /settings.view (situation is the same on the 4.6 and 4.7 versions of the build) But when i create a new admin user i have all the icons.
I run the Subsonic server on a Ubuntu 12.10 and it is the only "bug" i ever encountered with the program.

For the user that "Settings" doesn't appear, check Settings/Personal page and make sure "Party Mode" is unchecked.

Hi !
I tried to verify that but i don't have the permission (with the admin session) on the "personnal" tab of the admin session so I cannot uncheck that box (if it is checked)
Edit : I check the settings on my "admin" account, I cannot access those tabs (unauthorized) : "personnal" "players" and "shared media"

The user account that you are logged in with is not an administrator then.
Log it with an account that you know has "admin access" checked off.

The thing is, I only had that account at start. I then created a second account with "new administrator" checked so I can now access the settings normaly (with that second admin account)
