FLV video stream/play on Android client?

I've got the latest Madsonic client on my android phone and streaming music works beautifully. Is it possible to stream video through the Android client as well?

Most, if not all of the video files I want to stream are in FLV format. The videos play fine on the web-based client on my computer (through firefox) but on my Android I don't see the video files there at all. I can browse to the folders where the videos are on my phone, but the folders appear empty.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for this great mod.

I have the release before the latest (I like the one better) and I have n/p on Galaxy SIII...but you need to load flash on first. I assume your ok with that regards. Did you refresh the data in Madsonic and Full scan on your computer?

I do have flash loaded on my Android phone (HTC Incredible). The main problem I guess is that I don't see any of the FLV video files in the media folder(s) on my Android. The folders are empty. When I select the folder where the videos are stored on my Android, I get a message that says "connecting to server"....then "reading from server" (like it's actually going to load them) but then when it's done, I see the title of the folder ("Videos") but there are no results. Music folders work fine.

I do see the video files in the media folders in my web browser on my computer, and they play fine on the computer.

ok..lets see...are you trying to view/play flv files? Because Subsonic trancodes on the fly to flv. I have avi, mkv, vob and so on loaded within my folder. Anyway, go to your "Trancoding" settings in Subsonic on your Pc, you'll see flv isn't in the "Convert from" list. I think you'll only see the file types that are contained within this list on your phone. Try adding flv to the video transcoding list and save, and refresh.....see if that works.
