MadEvil, could you be nice to make an easy-to-follow tutorial for upgrading from standard Subsonic instalation via YUM on Centos 6.4 x64 ?

4.7 (build 3105) – September 11, 2012

jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_24, Linux (31.1 MB / 50.5 MB)

Many thanks !

Simplest way to do it is:

Download the latest RPM version of Madsonic from here: http://uploaded.net/folder/s9nbbk
Save to your Centos desktop
Stop existing subsonic services (as "root": service subsonic stop)
UNINSTALL Java version 6
Download Java 7 from java.com and install
Uninstall Subsonic 4.7
Install the RPM version of Madsonic. (It will save your settings from 4.7)
Start new subsonic service: (as "root": service subsonic start)
The first time you start the new service, it may take a while to load, due to a database upgrade.

Done, thanks for help !

Now, it says that is a new version of madsonic but 3360 does not have a rpm... !?
All other versions have one.

You will need to do a "WAR" upgrade to get to 3360...

Just stop your Subsonic service, then download the WAR file (from same site as before). Extract it to /usr/share/subsonic (overwriting the existing one), and chmod to 766 for that file, then restart the subsonic service.

You will see a new folder under /var/subsonic/jetty with the appropriate version number (3360).
