Offline Files Won't Play Without Internet

I upgraded to 3.6.10. I added a bunch of files to my queue and confirmed they were downloaded. I have been listening to these songs for a couple days (mostly in my car).

Today I went to the gym in the basement of my building. There I have no signal - no cell or wifi. I started DSub to listen to music while I worked out and noticed the options to enable the EQ were missing. Having experienced this bug in the past I rebooted the phone (killing DSub and restarting did not work). When the phone restarted opened DSub, enabled the EQ, and pressed play. I got a message that no internet was available. DSub showed 0b downloaded. DSub refused to play the music I already had on my phone without an internet connection.

I switched to PowerAmp and completed my workout.

Guess its back to 3.5 for me. This time I think I will stay there....

I'm not sure I follow. You tried to play some songs in offline mode and it said that you had no internet connection?

I was unable to play songs on my device when I had no signal on my phone. As soon as I hit play it failed due to no connection.

The songs were already on my phone and I was able to play them using PowerAmp.

I'm sorry for rambling in my original post but I wanted to cover all the things I did before trying to play the music (restarting the phone in the basement where I had no signal).

Just out of curiosity did you try explicitly going into offline mode? I can't for the life of me figure out what would be causing that as I continue playing music without any signal, both in online and offline mode, all the time and have never had this issue. Does it only happen when you are trying to use the EQ?

I tried reproducing the problem by going into flight mode. DSub worked as it should.

This is the first and only time I have had this problem. This is also the first time I can ever remember restarting my phone in the gym. It could be related (restart without a signal).

No idea if the EQ has anything to do with it. I only mentioned the EQ because it was the reason for the restart. The option sometimes disappears for no apparent reason. I found the only way to get it back is restart. Subsonic also has this issue and it has happened on several phones.

I'll try it again next week when I use the gym at my office.

Yah I am planning on tackling all of the issues to do with the EQ soon. I just keep getting side tracked with other stuff.

If you can get it to happen again try sending me a log asap via the main menu Send Log option. It might not have enough info to debug it with but then again it might.
