Bluetooth Radio playback freezes in dSub version >= 4.5.6

When using dSub in my car via Bluetooth, playback sometimes freezes at the start of a song. This happens about half of the time, and seems to be random. It is always during the first two seconds of a song.

I have experienced this issue with versions 4.5.6 and 4.5.8. I rolled back to version 4.5.5 and stopped having this problem. Just by looking at the changelog, I'm guessing the issue might be "Work around for Samsung's bluetooth metadata for 4.3+ devices"... maybe adding a toggle to disable this in the settings would help?

Car: Toyota Highlander 2012

Having the same issue in a Toyota Sienna 2011. Song plays fine, the next song plays for 10 seconds then the audio drops out (but song is still playing in DSub).

Well, we can try it out here. This apk is the same as what is in the play store (4.6.3), except with the Samsung bluetooth fix reverted. Let me know if this one no longer has that issue.

Yep - that fixes it! I just used this version non-stop on a 2 hour drive, and did not experience any freezes.

Alright, here is another version that only uses the work around when the phone is a Samsung phone. Can you check to make sure the check works correctly.

Alright, here is another version to try. This time I'm doing the check lower down so there should be no way it is still getting called when not on a Samsung phone.

Actually... I need to retest. After switching back to the first apk you provided, the Bluetooth freeze is still happening... even though it had worked before. I'm going to uninstall and then reinstall dSub instead of just updating. Will then retest and post the results.

Did you save the first apk? I overwrote it with the newer ones so if you tried to go back and download it again you weren't actually getting the first one

I had saved all the apks but may have mixed them up. After deleting them all and starting fresh, the latest apk still has the issue- Bluetooth has frozen twice in an hour of use.
