[Feature Request] Playlist Shuffle Toggle

Would it be possible to have the Shuffle function of the current Playlist simply randomize play order rather than randomly reorganizing the Playlist itself? I would love the ability to have a Shuffle toggle that randomizes play giving the best of both worlds as I would still have the option of selecting songs manually that I know the position of in my loaded Playlist.

Yeah it is on the TODO list. A few people have requested this before. I plan on adding it in one the next few releases.

I am not going to do this anymore. After releasing it, I have gotten nothing but negative feedback about the change. It would be almost impossible to code it as an option since this functionality touches almost everything.

That's unfortunate. I'm new to subsonic and I'm trying out the different android clients. It's a pet peeve of mine when an audio player reorders the playlist instead of just playing the songs on the playlist in random order. You can't unshuffle the list.

Is there no hope this will make it in as an option?
