Podcast sync automatically?

I have sync enabled but my new podcasts that subsonic server pulled down aren't being automatically synced to my phone. I was under the impression that podcasts would just auto sync. But do I have to either mark each podcast as keep synced or check sync recently added?

You have to manually set each podcast to sync since many people will not necessarily want everything to be synced.
