Apple lossless playback?

Postby madison437 » Sat Mar 14, 2015 10:48 pm

Hi,

I have a library in subsonic comprised of primarily Apple lossless in the .m4a file format.

I'm unable to play this format directly by DSub... is there some way to enable this on the client?

I can currently play these lossless files with another client (non-Android).

I can also set a transcoder in subsonic to re-encode the m4a files to flac, and these play fine with DSub, but I'd like to avoid that step if possible.

Thanks for any help / suggestions.

Regards,

DSub just uses the native player, so codec support is going to differ per device. You will need to leave the m4a -> flac transcode on.
