Song Plays on Server But Not DSub

Postby jjewett » Thu Mar 26, 2015 4:34 pm

This may have been covered already but I couldn't find it in a search so thought I'd post here... hoping it might help someone.

I had a few songs that would play fine on the server/computer but froze when trying to play via DSub. They downloaded fine, file size matched and I couldn't find anything wrong in Explorer or MediaMonkey.

Searched on "validate mp3" figuring there might be some nuance that the computer could overcome but not my phone. I found MP3val http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/ and scanned the directory. It identified and repaired the problem files. Deleted/reloaded and they play fine now.

The program is very lightweight and FAST.

Best,
Jeff

I haven't heard of that, but thanks for sharing so that if anyone else has the same issue they have a starting point to look into it.
