Inconsistant "pin" button behaviour

Postby rubbersoul » Mon Sep 28, 2015 3:58 pm

I used to be able to go to the album listing under an artist, hit the "pin" button and select play now or play last to build up a currently playing playlist. After the recent Material update (which is beatiful btw!) it has been changed. The pin button at the artist page still has the play now, play last options, but the pin on the album list page only has star and details options. To play the album I have to long press the album, press the "..." button, then press play now or play last. It seems inconsistent and also too many steps for something so common.

Lastly, I was thinking it would be really cool to be able to configure the album art as a quick button. The default behavior of pressing the album art (rather than the album name) should be to open the album track list as it does now. In the options however, it would be amazing if we could customize a pressing of the album art to either play last, play now, play shuffled, or cache based on a users preference.

Thank you for the consideration and all the hard work.

I’m also not sure why I can’t delete cache on a song in my now playing queue now. I have to go all the way back to the album where the song is, long press it, and use the drop down in the top right to delete the cache. This is a big pain if pressing the back button doesn’t bring you directly to that album like if you were adding songs to your queue from multiple albums.

Just curious (and I'm not the dev), why are you deleting a cache of a song? Isn't that automatically handled?

In the last update I added the ability to have all of the old context items added back. Now all of the common options are optional however you want them.

Well I have the option to delete cache now but whenever I do it from the queue it gives a “null==error” and doesn’t delete anything.

Send me a log after the error so I can look at what is going wrong.
