Connection Failure

Postby crimsonadam » Sat May 12, 2018 3:07 am

I'm currently running Dsub 5.3.5 beta. When i try to connect to my home subsonic server via WiFi, I'm told that there is a connection error, when i try to connect via phone data or from a WiFi connection outside of my home (which would be the same network that the subsonic server is on), i am told that there is a connection failure. So the issue is that if i'm on the same wifi network as the server, there is no connection. I can connect from desktops directly to the localhost address, it's just through the dsub app that i'm having issues. Needless to say, it's very frustrating.

Are you sure that you have correctly configured the server address, especially if you've set the local network SSID?

Thanks for your reply. I think the server address is almost positively correct. It is the same as on another device that does work. I don't use the SSID (the same as i don't on the device that works on the same WiFi LAN). I have found that if i put in the full ip address i can connect, but i assume at some point that will change, but if i just put in http://localhost:4040/ then it doesn't work.

I have tried it with the SSID, and it still doesn't work.

So now i have the server address, the local network address (which is the external plus the 4040, and the Local Network SSID. I guess if it works it works, but i'm still concerned if the ip address changes or that i'm losing some efficiency. Either way, it doesn't seem to be operating the way that it should.
