Can you try playing a podcast from the Podcasts tab, seek to the middle of it, then use Remove All from the menu. It should create a bookmark automatically then. If it doesn't, what server are you using?

ah, got it. i suppose i haven't come across that particular situation just yet. thanks for clarifying, just tested and everything works like a charm!

What exactly are you doing where you expected it to work?

hrmm, well, not much... i thought the bookmark would be created on pause or stopping the audio file, and i was always wary of removing a podcast from my play queue for fear of losing my place without manually creating the bookmark. but now that i know that's not the case, i can rest easy.

Ah, yes. The way I envisioned it is you would only want a bookmark to be placed when you leave playing it. I have been using it for the past few weeks without issue, but if you have any with it not creating a bookmark when it should have let me know.

Dislike the sliding transition animation introduced in 4.8. I prefer to disable them because they're too slow but I'll survive.

I felt that the animation was fairly short and close to the same amount of time it took for the new fragment to be displayed before. If a lot of people dislike it I can remove it of course, I just felt like it added a little something to the look and feel.

Just grabbed this client and would like to say its nice seeing that a client allows a 0mb cache and to preload no songs.. But unfortunately neither of these functions work.

Running 5.0 server with latest DSub for Android.

Any ideas?

Use a non-zero cached size. DSub has to be able to cache at least one songs worth, and that isn't going to change.

Could something be implemented that allows a manual number entry instead of the slider?

Also how about an option so you can specify how many minutes before the app will clear out the cache?

Is it possible to send an intent to open the Now Playing activity? I'm trying to set up a Tasker profile to open the activity, but I'm not having much luck. :?

Is there any way to disable the artist pic from showing? I use madsonic as the server, and it apparently doesn't support the feature to show the artist pic so I just get a black colored square. Would be nice if I could hide it until (if) it gets supported.

edit: Or, is there's a way I could manually add the images?

edit2: I see after the latest update, the space for the artist picture is no longer showing, so disregard :)

Often times, dSub will not use the title ID tag and use file name instead.
Subsonic app will display it properly.
Subsonic web will display it properly.

What the heck?

It happens for one or two tracks from most albums I upload. Never a problem with other apps or web.

See for example:

It should only do that if there are two songs with the same title in the same folder.

O.k., thanks, that explains why it's happening. Unfortunately for me, the "only" part is a huge percentage of my music.

Given the Subsonic default Android app handles these situations properly, surely there's a "fix".

Please kindly consider that for the next update, thanks.

Have you had any luck figuring out how to solve this problem? ↑

No. It is by design and just displaying the same sing name for duplicates is not a solution.
