[Feature Request] Auto Play on headphone / bluetooth connect

First, glad to see that you got your own forum now :)

Anyways, on to the feature request. I was wondering if anyone else would find this useful or perhaps you'd be willing to add an option in DSub for this. I use DSub 10+ hours a day. At work, at home, and in my truck. I always connect either headphones or line in cable, but occasionally also bluetooth. I was wondering if you could add an option that, when enabled, would automatically resume playback when headphones (or potentially bluetooth) is connected. For anyone who frequently uses their Android device as a music player, I feel that this could be very handy.

Just something I would love to see, but if it doesn't happen, then oh well. Figured it was worth asking :)

With the beta in the BT thread auto play/pause works via BT in my car.

I would surely hope that auto play is NOT working in the beta, as that was not one of the features I implemented and would mean I something is behaving incorrectly. But I'm glad auto pausing is working :D

My understanding is that most cars send a play bluetooth command on connect, which would explain the auto play in the car.

Yes it does, but I specifically absolutely have not coded it to start playback with that request at this time, hence my confusion.

Well I know that the original subsonic app responds to bluetooth commands, including play, if the enable media buttons option is turned on. Unless you specifically disabled (or broke lol) it, I don't see why it wouldn't play if the car tells it to do so. Or am I missing something completely?

Ah, now if it sends a explicit play command that is a different matter. I didn't realize any of them would do that on connect. I meant that I don't do anything with the connect signal that it sends.

Yeah, I've read on different forums that most bluetooth equipped cars automat send a separate play bluetooth command after the connection is complete. I guess this is so you can just crank it up and have your music without needing to pull out your device. I wouldn't know personally, my truck is nearly 30 years old and my head unit doesn't have bluetooth.
