Battery Drain

Postby jsonnabend » Sun Apr 28, 2013 2:10 pm

I am using an SIII with the special build of DSub. I am on JellyBean, I believe. I am getting severe batter drain. When I look at my battery usage, I see that "Media" (with a download arrow as an icon) is using most of the battery by a wide margin.

Is this the bug that was discussed in a different thread, and is there a fix? I'd hate to give up on DSub.

TIA

1) What does "special build" of DSub mean?
2) Do you have root?
3) Yes it sounds like it is the same bug discussed in viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11923

I was referring to the build in the thread you cited. I thought that was a "special build" for the SIII issue. Anyway, that's the build.

I have root, but stock ROM.

Thoughts?

Ah I see what you mean now. Did you only start having the issue after using the special build?

No, I had the issue with the earlier builds as well. It was particularly bad last night, though, the first time I used the new build.
