Boogie on the Record...

so when I was growing up, radio stations used something called Vinyl and played "records". When you mishandled those, it created skips, or got stuck.. Local dj would say there was a booger on the record... and move on. I have noticed I am getting this with DSUB now. It is very sporadic and it may just play the silence at the end of the track or it may play 10 seconds of the track over and over.

I do not have an S3, I have a EVOLte, and I have unchecked the gapless playback. I have done a "fix permissions" in the ROM, I have reinstalled the app, I have deleted everything and reinstalled with the same issue. I also have an Iphone, using Isub app, and it never does this--just in case it was a server thing. Let me know if you need anything from me and I will provide. I have seen the posts regarding S3 issues, and maybe it really isn't and S3 issue after all?

can you get a log for when it happens? I have not had this happen on my D1, gnex, S2, S3, OneX, or Note 2 :) FWIW all of those devices are running a Cyanogenmod release.

Yah I haven't been able to get anything I own to do this either. Can you use the Send Log feature after you get it to happen?

I will take a look at it in the morning. I have removed it from the message though and in the future you should either message me the logcat or email it to me since they contain sensitive information and this is a very publicly accessible forum ;)

How long is the song "Love Is Like A Butterfly"? Is it 2 min 16 seconds? It appears that the app is encountering a error at the end of the song in each of the 4 logs you sent me, and is just trying to replay from the same position. I probably just need to add some logic in the error handler to just skip to the next if it is close to the end, but first I want to make sure it is actually at the end.

that song shows 2:21 seconds on my server, but wiki shows it at 2:17. That is not the only song that is doing it, and yes, they are all doing it at the end of the song.

thanks.

I have had this happen maybe 10 times over the past day... is there anything I can do to prevent it on my side? It is weird that it doesn't happen when using my tablet.

Sorry, I will put together a test apk a little later and post it up here and you can tell me whether or not it fixes your issue. There is still the underlining problem that it is throwing errors at the end of the songs for no reason, but my fix should at least mask the issue for you.

Want to try this out and let me know how it goes? I'm not even sure how to trigger the error you are getting, so I can't test it myself first.

yep, downloading it now...

I know it is a pain in the behind as I was thinking that maybe another app is helping trigger, etc... Yesterday, it only happened like 3 times, today, nothing... give me some time on it and I will let you know.

Thanks again!
