Chromecast/Native Video Player

I have continued to look into adding support for video for Chromecast, and to add a native video player to the app in general. Every time I try it just errors out. Nothing I change fixes it. I'm honestly getting a bit tired of banging my head against the wall on this issue. I know Sindre is working on Chromecast support for the web portion of the app. I have been tracking his changes, and they have at least made it so that it would play at all, but it still just errors out after a few seconds. I have spent countless hours trying different things to get it to work, and nothing has. I'm not sure at this time whether it is a problem with Subsonic or with the Chromecast itself, because there are several tickets open for Google to fix videos that just don't work on the Chromecast but work everywhere else. But either way, I am done with this for the moment. I will be keeping an eye on both the Chromecast progress and Sindre's progress on this issue, but I really just don't know what else to try to get it to work. I'm just fed up with wasting time working on what seems like a hopeless cause at this point.

PS For anyone who bought my app with the understanding that it would eventually get video support, feel free to email me for a refund.

I set up a Chromecast today and was hoping there'd be support for some sort of Subsonic access. I stumbled on this post, and I just wanted to say thank you for DSub. It's a fabulous piece of software, and I've enjoyed watching your feverish feature development over the last few months of having it.

I'm looking forward to being able to Chromecast videos in DSub whenever you get to it, but for now, please accept my immense thanks!
