Album Art Issues

Postby m0t0 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 5:59 pm

I'm running into an issue with the dsub app and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues.
I have my music arranged by artist then album then by disc if there are multiple discs. I will typically name the discs "Disc 1" and Disc 2" and so on. I recently added 3 albums that all have multiple discs associated with them. When i pull up recently added albums in dsub i have conflicting album art for the 3 seperate disc ones and disc twos. If i pull up the web interface for subsonic the albums and discs are correct with the correct album art. I though it may just be a cache issue so i cleared the cache through dsub and through the app manager with no luck. I tried on two different phones and have run into the same issue. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,
m0t0

Hope that all made sense, but let me know if anyone needs clarification.

What do you mean by conflicting album art?

3 albums all with different art showing correctly via the web interface. through dsub im getting 2 albums with the correct art, but on the third album disc 1 is showing as one of the others and disc 2 is showing as the other. I can post pix if thats still clear as mud.

Is the third album's disc's showing as one of the others in the same album, or one of the ones from a different album?

Can you pm me a temp username/password so I can look at it more directly. I see what you mean now, and my best guess is that it's considering them to be the same album. My best guess is that it's because the Artist and Album will be listed as the same in the data Subsonic has sent at that point (ie: Frank Sinatra - Disc 1), even though they are actually different.

I fixed the first issue, as well as made it so that it will display Album Disc # instead of just Disc # since that can be a bit worthless there. If you want to test it out, here is a apk.

Working perfect. Verified on two different phones and both are showing up correctly now. Thanks for all you hard work. Will this fix be included in your next release?

Thanks
