Has the android media indexer run since the files arrived on the phone? You can force this by rebooting your phone.

As an aside, I'm not sure that checkbox (hide from other apps or whatever it is) actually ever worked. I don't think it's the dsub dev's code, it was in the original android client. I would have thought checking it would put a .nomedia file in the subsonic directory. I've always had it checked but recently started using google play music and it was showing all my subsonic cache. I manually put a .nomedia file in the directory and they went away.

I just took a look, and I saw a pretty huge flaw. The .nomedia file is only created in the unchangeable app folder which is under Android/data/github.daneren2005.dsub/files/, not in the music folder (the one you can manually configure). That is a easy fix. As for the other issue, I am wondering the same thing mr_nobody is asking. How recently did you download them all?

Well just in case I deleted them all and downloaded them all again just before I posted Here

Fine but did you reboot your phone or otherwise force media scanner to run after that? ;)

Yes. As I knew that Google play only picks up after a restart.
Have restarted again and about 60 songs in there but have synced nearly 400 to the device
And they are there cached as I am currently playing them in offline mode in dsub at the moment.
I will just live with only be able to play in dsub and not be able to edit a music track to create a ring tone

That's pretty weird. Can you notice anything different between the tracks that are visible and that aren't? (different file formats, etc.) Are you using any weird transcoding settings? I'm pretty much out of ideas...

As far as i can tell they are all standard mp3 with 128-320 kps encoding nothing out of the ordinary.
i have cleared and downloaded everything again but still no luck

I think I figured out why this probably isn't working for you. It seems to only be adding music which is pinned to the MediaStore service. I will have it fixed to add music which is not pinned as well, though it will show as song.complete.mp3 instead of song.mp3 for legacy reasons (and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future).
