Completely stuck - Username may not be null!

Postby JoeW » Fri Jul 18, 2014 2:26 pm

Hi, I switched from off line to server today, did a search, and now get a pop-up error saying "Username may not be null".
There is no get-out from this! OK repeats the message, killing the app or restarting android, I still get same.
Only solution will be to uninstall as far as I can see.

Try toggling between servers.

I can't do anything, as there is a modal error window. As soon as I press OK, it appears again - I am literally unable to click anything else, or use the app at all!

My guess is that you have Open to Library enabled? It took me a minute to figure out how you could be getting that error, but sure enough if you go to the Library tab you get that error. So if you have that option selected you will get the infinite error. I can definitely have that fixed, but I wouldn't be able to get an updated apk to until later tonight at the earliest, or sometime tomorrow more likely. I'll need you to email me though so I can give you the updated version. It would probably be faster to uninstall and reinstall, but if you left the cache location to the default, it will remove all of the songs you have cached so far. I'm sorry, I know that is a irritating choice :(

Now, how did you get this to happen in the first place? You say that you just came out of offline mode, but you must have done something before that or it wouldn't have gotten screwed up. Did you add or delete any servers from the settings while in offline mode, or recently at all?

Edit: I'd like to make it clear I mean you did something in the sense that you did something which triggered the bug which I can't figure out, and NOT that I'm trying to say you did anything wrong or that it's your fault.

OK, thanks - yes, library tab open underneath . I'm not sure what I did that was different - I only have one server, and didn't make any changes to that for a long while. I went online to do a search, entered search term, and Go from keyboard, and that was it from what I remember.
