Cannot Seek Within Track

Postby BadServo » Fri Sep 12, 2014 3:26 am

Today I noticed that while using the app, I was unable to use the scrubber bar to seek to a point within the track I was listening to. I drag the slider, then the track instantly jumps back to the beginning. Initially I thought this was because it was a longer file and I was on a cellularconnection. However, I've since tried several smaller tracks within my own wifi network and am seeing the same result. Is this a known limitation of the app or server? Any advise is appreciated.

This should only be a problem when you started a song while it was being downloaded, and I've only encountered this problem on my Nexus 5. Everything else I own works fine. The internal error it throws is that it does not know the duration so refuses to left the application seek within the song. I have not found a work around for this issue yet.

I see. Curious. I'm using a Nexus 6 as well, so that explains it. Maybe the issue will magic away when the Nexus X drops. Thanks.

I found a fix for not being able to seek when you are playing a song as it was downloading, but I don't know what to say about your issue even when playing precached songs. I'm thinking if it only happened on a custom ROM it was an issue with the ROM itself.
