Can't connect with local network address

This is really weird. I had to reinstall DSub because I forgot to back it up when I did a full wipe and now I can't get it to connect when I'm on my local network.

Using the "open in browser" option works fine. Turning WiFi off and connecting over 4G within DSub also works fine. It just refuses to connect over the local network within DSub. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm on DSub 4.7.8. Haven't gotten the 4.8 update in my Play Store yet.

Are you using the local network address setting?

Yes, I put in my server's local IP in the local network address field.

It just seems weird to me because it works in the browser but not in DSub.

Did you happen to try it without the internal IP then? Any connection which works on the browser should work the same in the app.

Huh. Yeah, it works once I remove the internal IP. Now I'm even more confused. What is that option for?

It is for the local IP. Are you sure you put in the correct local IP?

Yes, it was the correct local IP. And it did work in the browser, like I was saying.

What I'm confused about is why that option is needed if it works without it.

Because some people can't manage to get their system setup correctly and it won't work without that option. Its a only use it if you are having issues option.
