I just updated to 4.8.4 so I'm not sure if it's related to some of the Lollipop-related changes or what, but the checkboxes stay black when you use dark themes which makes them impossible to see at times. This is how it looked before:

Grr it looks like Google forgot to update that part of the theme. I am out so I don't think I will be able to fix it until Monday unfortunately.

I am only seeing this in the Settings. Does that match what you are seeing?

Yeah, that's how it behaves on my end.
It's honestly a pretty minor issue since it only seems to happen there and it's only really a problem with the black theme.

Was 4.8.5 supposed to fix this, or is it going to be in a future release?
It still looks the same for me.

I cannot figure out how to fix it yet so it will be in a future release.

I was able to find a work around for the issue. It will be fixed in the next release. Sorry for taking so long, I have been super busy lately.

No worries. 4.8.6 seems to have fixed it for me.
