Feature request: track playing position...

I use DSub on an Android based car stereo (one of the Chinese units). When you turn the key off, it stops DSub in a way where DSub apparently doesn't get proper notice, so DSub doesn't keep track of where it stopped playing. As a result, when it starts up again, it resumes not where it left off, but wherever the last user action was (like play/pause, skip track, etc.)

Would it be possible to save the state every so often (every 15 seconds? minute?), so it resumes playing at a more reasonable place?
