Chromecasting with V 5.1.6 on Galaxy S3 - not caching

Ok, I just began casting via Chromecast with Dsub 5.1.6 on a Galaxy S3. Is there a certain setting I'm missing that allows Dsub to cache while playing the songs like it normally does via bluetooth? I disconnected from chromecast and played the songs and it began caching the songs. I did look throughout the Dsub forum, but the only related post was re: DSub 4.8.6: 12/27/14 stating "Fix caching not working while casting"

I probably need to just make it optional since personally I don't want it to cache when casting if it doesn't need to.

That would be cool!
Obviously, you are the expert, but if it's not too difficult to program, maybe (in the most basic description) have a section called "Cache when:" with check boxes of 1) casting and 2) Bluetooth (are there additional choices?) so that we can choose none, one or both.
cheers

It has to cache while using Bluetooth because it is sending the audio from your phone to Bluetooth. Casting is just sending a url which is why it doesn't cache.

ah, understood. I appreciate the crash course in caching in this situation.

I was thinking about what you said. If Bluetooth requires caching, does that mean it's not possible to use music streaming services (without or disabling caching) with a Bluetooth device?
Also, is DSub locked in casting mode when casting? I ask because i was casting but then wanted to DL another artist, but nothing happened I assume this is related to my original question, but why/how would it be different if caching something that is not current playing?

Well other apps can stream to Bluetooth because that is how it setup to play audio. Basically there is no coding required on our end to play over Bluetooth. We just play like normal and the system decides where to send the sound. DSub doesn't stream anything ever so that involves caching it first. Casting on the other hand doesn't take audio from the device it takes a URL.
You can download other stuff in the background while casting. You have to use the background download functions though

right, I got it! I just have to go back to the library and choose Permanent Cache (download) to save them to my device, while streaming on WiFi. Yes?
