Internet Radio Question

For the server (Mad or Sub) Internet Radio feature, does the client play the internet stream from the server or from the internet directly? I've been looking at the server logs, but I don't see anything there that indicates whether the stream is being sent through the server or if the client is streaming it directly.

The client plays it off the internet directly. The server just returns the url of the stream to the client.

Thanks. That's what I expected since the server doesn't seem to indicate anywhere that the stream is being played.

So that means no transcoding, right? The source stream has to be compatible with dsub (in this case) I would assume.

Yes it does. Are you having any trouble with some streams?

The hardest part is finding proper URLs that actually work. There are a few tools online that help .

Follow up question has to do with casting to a Chromecast. Is that possible with Internet Radio? I know it doesn't work right now, but I don't know if it should.

Feature Request: Would it be possible to add a control that restarts a stream? Right now when you pause, it pauses as expected. However, there are times when the stream gets so far behind I would like to just stop and restart the stream to catch up. The only way to do that right now that I can tell is to start playing something else (another stream or song), then re-select the original stream.
Related Request: Is there any way to add transport controls to skip backwards and forwards in a stream?

Also, is there any mechanism to get "album art" for an internet radio station?

Been spending most of my time lately testing Madsonic with podcasts and DSub has been performing great...that's why you haven't heard from me in a while. Great job.

Also, can DSub play AAC streams? I have this one that works on my windows PC, but I'm guessing it's AAC based on the URL name. In DSub it goes through the "buffering" stage, then stops. Never plays:

Here's what VLC says about it:
Stream 0
    Type: Audio
    Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
    Channels: Stereo
    Sample rate: 44100 Hz
    AAC extension: SBR
