Sync ALL songs?

Postby TheScoop » Thu Aug 03, 2017 8:01 am

So I bought a 200GB microSD card and now I can easily fit my entire collection on my phone.

Is there any way I can just go and sync my entire collection, over wifi?

This will decrease my mobile data consumption tremendously. Then, from there, I'll just have DSub sync new/updated content.

I am able to slowly achieve this to some extent by shuffling a playlist at 100 songs a time on wifi, but its a slow process and obviously has diminishing returns. Do I need to copy the folders manually somehow? And what if I have "Browse by Tags" option enabled on my server? Thanks

Are you still working on this? Any updates? I am having some trouble.

My idea was to create a playlist on the server that contains all tracks, and then in DSub, I select the playlist, and from the menu, choose permanent cache. Even on a brand new Pixel 2 XL, the download pauses sometimes. I have to exit DSub, launch the app again, and then choose the permanent cache option again. It will begin where it left off.

I then put DSub into offline mode and can browse the available playlists and library entries that have been cached. However, my issue is that if I attempt to play tracks via a playlist, the music plays fine. However, if I try to browse the library, the app returns a list of all the artists, but no tracks are found. I am not sure why this is the case, and it appears DSub is dead, so making a bug report on github seems like a waste.

Edit: Copying the music onto the device or SD card has not worked well for me.
