Update Album Art

Postby wdpaynter » Thu Apr 29, 2010 1:32 pm

I had several albums that I had multiple album art front covers for and Subsonic is displaying the second one in my embedded tags (Mediamonkey or any other program that I use displays the first cover). I prefer the first which is a US cover (the second is Australian). I had both saved/embedded as "Cover (front)".

First I tried changing the Australian cover to a different cover type in the tag. Rescanned library. Still did not change in Subsonic.

Then I deleted the Australian covers. Did not change in Subsonic. Rescanned library. Still no change.

Deleted all thumbnails in subsonic folder on HDD. No changes in Subsonic. Rescanned, no changes.

I have many albums that have multiple cover arts (back cover, leaflet, media label, etc), but they all display the front cover properly in Subsonic.
Subsonic is still displaying Australian covers for these few albums, eventhough they've been deleted.

What can I do to manually update?(is there a cache to clear in Subsonic or my browser) Can someone please explain how subsonic handles embedded art with multiple images? That way I do not have to delete images in the future.

Thanks
BP

I should point out that by "rescanning" I am simply updating search index either manually or what is done by schedule every night @ 3AM. I am not removing the library and starting fresh (which I'd rather not have to do).

Thanks

FIXED

The issue was with tags that were saved to the folder where the particular albums were. I save all my tags as embedded, but these folders had some art saved to the folder. Not sure why and even if the files were hidden, I have my folder options set to "show hidden files and folders". I created a new folder, moved the files to it, deleted the old folder and renamed the new one.
