"http://localhost" problem...

Hey Guys,
Firstly, i'm new to this forum, so hello! Secondly, i'm having problems figuring out how to set-up subsonic (sorry if I sound like a total novice!) I seem to be having troubles connecting to the "http://localhost" website for the subsonic settings. Everytime I try it in my browser it comes up with "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost".
I'm really confused. Is there anyone that can help? OR is there anyone that is willing to do a remote assistance style fix for me?

You have to figure out what port subsonic is running on (check system tray icon). Then try localhost:port_num or 127.0.0.1:port_num
