Transcoding of file with accented chars

Postby jeankalud » Thu Jun 24, 2010 1:24 pm

Hello, just came across a problem where transcoded files (when subsonic server uses lame to reduce the bitrate) that contain accented chars (like é, è, ö) the lame process just doesnt find the file and then the song would simply not play.

See result in the log, pretty obvious:

[6/24/10 9:11:29 AM EDT] DEBUG TranscodeInputStream Starting transcoder: [c:\subsonic\transcode\lame] [-S] [-h] [-b] [128] [d:\music\St Germain\2005 - Des-Prés Café 6 [V0]\02 - Doctor Abstract - Struck On Jazz.mp3] [-]
[6/24/10 9:11:29 AM EDT] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\lame) Could not find "d:\music\St Germain\2005 - Des-Pre?s Cafe? 6 [V0]\02 - Doctor Abstract - Struck On Jazz.mp3".

Anything that we can do (beside disabling transcoding) I use transcoding to reduce the bitrate for my iPhone (through iSub) to reduce my daily data transfer ;)

Thanks!
