question re: donation

Do i have to donate FIRST before i can remotely access my files from a mobile device or other PC? Or can i access that first free for 30 days?

If I donate but am unable to get this service to work properly, would I be entitled to a refund, or is that $$$ gone for good?

The reason I ask is because I've spent the last 5 hours trying to get this to work properly to no avail. I'm not sure if it's something Im doing wrong on my end, or if I have to donate FIRST in order to get full capability. I've been able to get this to play over Wi-Fi, but not over my normal cell connection, and Ive had my brother download the app on his Android phone and connect to my server and he was unable to.

I am also having the same problem...I want to know that this program works on my iphone before I want to donate....I can't seem to access. My router's UPnP is enabled.

the application is full featured independent of a donation. with a donation you only honor the work of sindre, and get a key to remove the amazon ads from the site.

No, the REST API (for using iphone, android and SubAir) is only available for 30 days without a donation. So you don't have to donate first to try it out.

well funny that because whenever I log into the website with my Subsonic.org address it tells me it has expired even though my settings tells me expiration date is Aug 30..???? Confused much?

It looks to me as if that feature is a paid feature while you have a 30 day trial using your phone. If your not using the phone application nor the subsonic.org DNS feature then subsonic is fully functional out of the box.



1st.)So the first thing that you need to do is go to the computer that you installed subsonic on and write down the port that you are using in subsonic.

2nd.) Then log into your router and forward that port to the computer that subsonic is installed on unless you have Upnp port forwarding turned on. "But keep in mind that if this feature is turned on in subsonic it will also have to be turned on in your router!!!"

3rd.) Go to http://mywanip.com/ and find your WAN ip address and see if that brings you back to your subsonic web interface. Example: http://mywanip:port# if you are using port 80 then you won't need the :port# just http://mywanip

I use the subsonic.org address and that part works fine. If you still need a test go to http://www.dyndns.com/ and that works the same as a subsonic.org.
