Can't Connect

Postby jpatton624 » Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:26 am

Hey guys, I've had subsonic working before but haven't bothered with it since my license expired. Recently I donated, updated my pc version. I attempted to go to my page: jpatton624.subsonic.org but it says I need to donate. I tried to go to localhost:8888 and the login/pass box pops up but every time I try to type my information, it says invalid username or password. I've tried every combination I could think of, even thought I know what my user name and password are. The ports are forwarded and I now have a license key that I can't figure out how the hell to use.

Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like you're describing to problems there.

1. You need to use your licence key. This is done by going (as an admin user) by clicking on "Donate" in the web interface and then entering the key you were given.

2. You're locked out of subsonic because you've forgotten the username & password you set.

A quick and dirty fix is to delete the entire subsonic database on your machine. You will loose ALL YOUR SETTINGS! You would need to stop subsonic and delete the "db" directory in your subsonic installation directory and then restart subsonic. Once you've restarted subsonic a new database will be created with the default user

username:admin
password:admin

There is probably a way to manually modify the HSQLDB database that subsonic uses but I don't know how.

I found the subsonic installation directory, but it only contains a logs folder. Would db be somewhere else? Thanks for helping me out.

edit: nevermind, got it working. thanks a lot man.
