any way to turn on last.fm "scrobbling?"

I see that there is a link to last.fm on my subsonic page, but when i have last.fm open, the scrobbling doesn't seem to work when I'm playing music from my site. It works fine if I play music manually through iTunes, but even when I set up the site to play through an external player, it will then play in iTunes but still not scrobble.

Any way around this? I prefer to play music through the site, but would like to keep my last.fm profile up to date. Thanks guys!

When logged into the web interface go to the settings page. Its the last checkbox before the save button. Once you check it there will be textfields for your username and password. Enter your credentials and save. Note that the scobbling doesn't work as most other apps. It will registered the file. As played as soon as you have transferred the file, not once you have finished listening to the song.
