Error Playing "songTitle"

Hey,

I found about Subsonic the other day and got it working no problems at all. Music is streaming nicely over 3G and WiFi so thanks for the nice software!

The only problem I'm having is with a very small minority of songs (unfortunately these are my favourite songs hehe). When I try and stream a song such as "Helijareyga - Vetrarbreytin" it doesn't do anything and after a few moments in my notification bar I get the error:

Error playing "Vetrarbreytin"
Prepare failed.: status=0x1 (IOException)

I'm using the most recent update on Android and server version 4.0.1 (build 1529) – May 13, 2010

Could you check your Subsonic server logs and tell us if you see anything useful in there? You can find your Subsonic log by logging into the Subsonic interface and clicking the logo on the upper left of the screen.

The only thing I can think of is it may have something to do with the transcoder. Either these songs are the small amount that ARE being transcoded or the amount that are NOT being transcoded, lol.

I'm not sure if the Android app supports MP4 playback... see if your M4A transcoder is active or not. See if the songs you can't play are different filetypes than the ones that do work correctly.

Try streaming the songs through the web interface or SubAir. Do they work in those interfaces?
