I see the problem! There are too many X's in your URL and IP address.
But in all seriousness, lol.
No, there's nothing that says you can't use your URL redirect with port 8080. I use mine with 4040 in fact. The redirect most certainly does not default to port 80.
A few thoughts to help get us started with the troubleshooting process:
- Does Subsonic know it's running on port 8080 or did you accomplish this through port forwarding in the firewall, and it's still actually running on 80 on the server box itself?
- Are you trying to go to xxx.subsonic.org:8080? This is incorrect. Even if it's running on 8080, you should go to your Subsonic URL with no port after it (so, port 80) and it will redirect you to the right IP and port, from their server.
- Maybe the Subsonic URL didn't update when you changed the Subsonic port? You could try deleting your URL and creating it again.
