User and Directory mapping

Postby rbarnett » Thu Nov 11, 2010 4:51 am

I have found this topic once already but the solution provided is not an option and I feel if what I am about to ask is not possible then I feel it should be added.

I have 5 users and 5 directories. I would like to map each users to a corresponding directory. Each user would only have access to their directory.

Someone posted in another thread, set up a subsonic server for each user. Yes I could do this but now I have 5 times the number of subsonic server to maintain.

If user to directory mapping is not possible, what would be the best approach to request this feature? This really is a breaking deal with me. Subsonic is the best of media streamer at this point. I really do not want to go back to anther media server because of this 1 feature is missing.

Thank you in advance of any help.

It has already been requested in the Feature requests section.

At present there is no known way to do this, other than setting up multiple servers, which I agree isn't an easy fix and isn't practicle for most users.

Thank you for the quick reply. Do we know yet the projected release of this feature?
