Newest albums not displaying and search not working

I'm new to subsonic (just installed and donated) and am having trouble with some of the features. I have subsonic 4.2 running on my Qnap nas 2.59 pro and have added a few mp3's in the suggested artist/album/song file structure.

The songs display on the left hand side of subsonic as designed and I can play them etc However, when I search, no results are returned and when I click on newest, subsonic doesn't display the most recent albums I have added. Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure that you manually update the search index after you add albums/songs to your collection. You can do this under Settings>Search on the web interface.
