[SOLVED] (user error): trouble with recent Android client

Postby iolsen » Fri Dec 24, 2010 7:26 pm

I've been a registered user for several months now. I really enjoy Subsonic, thanks for all the hard work on it.

Since my Android client updated within the past few weeks, I've had some trouble. There are some mp3's that will never transfer. They appear to fail and restart within a few seconds. Others appear to fully transfer, but playback stops halfway through the song.

I initially had this problem while running 4.1 beta server, so I upgraded to 4.2, but the behavior remains. Based on this, and the fact that I never see any errors in the server log, I believe it's the Android client that's to blame.

I had planned to attach an mp3 here that exhibits this problem 100% of the time, but it doesn't look like attachments are allowed. If there's an alternate way to get a file to someone who might be able to investigate this issue, I'd certainly comply.

Thanks,
Ian

Never mind.

I've been trying to figure this out all week, and naturally, within a few minutes of posting here, I checked the obvious and found the problem: I was out of storage space on my phone.

It might be nice if the Android client gave a better error message in this situation, but otherwise there doesn't appear to be a problem here.

After clearing up space, everything's working perfectly.

Thanks again for the awesome software.
