"now playing" shows wrong nicknames

hi,

we are running subsonic 4.2 on ubuntu 10.10
(but had the same problem already on win xp before....)

the names showing on the "now playing" screen doesn't fit to the actual usernames. ss is mixing them up in some way.
same for the log... there is the wrong name too.
the curiosity is, that the name in the chat-box is the correct one!

any suggestions?

I've seen this a few times - after each upgrade AFAIR, but only on some clients, not all. I'm not sure what actually cured it. Try to clear your browser cache and cookies and remove all players.

I was looking for some where that answered if Subsonic pulls the name of each song and artist using the filename, or if it use the songs metadata?

Could this be related? I am just scattershooting...
